Attire Inspiration

Welcome to wedding weekend at summer camp in October!

The weekend is a mix of playing outside, cozy meals, camp hangs, wedding festivities, dancing, and time around the bonfire. The biggest thing to know is: bring layers! We’ll be spending time both indoors and outdoors, and having a few easy things to throw on will keep you comfortable wherever the weekend takes you.

The looks on this page are here for inspiration, not instruction. There’s no need to buy anything new or dress like someone you’re not. We want you to feel comfortable, festive, and ready to enjoy camp with us!

SATURDAY

Color War + Camp Activities

Think: grown-up field day meets cute fall athleisure.

We’re kicking off the weekend with Color War vibes and camp activities! Wear something comfortable that you can move around in, whether you’re planning to get competitive or simply cheer everyone on from the sidelines.

Leggings, joggers, athletic pants, sweatshirts/pants, fleeces, sporty layers and sneakers are all perfect. Bring an extra layer to throw on or take off depending on the weather.

And if organized sports are decidedly not your thing? Fear not! Participation is very much choose-your-own-adventure. Come hang, watch, wander, snack, and enjoy camp however you’d like.

PACK FOR: comfortable clothes + sneakers + easy layers.

BBQ → Bonfire

Think: cozy fall night at camp.

Saturday evening starts with an outdoor BBQ and naturally rolls into hanging around the bonfire. This is the moment for all the fall things: flannels, jeans, corduroy, sweaters, boots, leather jackets, vests — relaxed, cozy, and whatever feels like you!

As the evening goes on, you’ll probably be happy to have an extra warm layer nearby, just in case (we will have blankets too). A jacket, scarf, beanie, warm socks, or your favorite oversized sweater will make settling in around the fire that much cozier.

PACK FOR: your favorite fall outfit + comfortable shoes + something warm to layer on, if needed.

SUNDAY

Camp Hangs + Getting Ready

Think: Sunday morning at camp… easy, relaxed, no dress code.

Before we get to the main event, the morning/early afternoon are for enjoying camp. Have breakfast, explore, hang with friends, play some games/sports, or simply take it easy before getting ready for the wedding.

Wear whatever makes you comfortable: sweats, leggings, jeans, workout clothes, a giant sweatshirt.

PACK FOR: comfy clothes + comfy shoes + whatever you like to lounge in.

The Wedding!

Attire: Semi-Formal

The main event! Think dresses of any length, jumpsuits, suits, dress pants, button-downs, jackets, and colorful fall tailoring. Rich autumn colors, fun textures, great accessories and a little personality are all very welcome.

Our ceremony will take place outside on the grass, so we strongly suggest grass-friendly shoes: platforms, block heels, wedges, boots, loafers and flats are all great choices. If your dream outfit involves a more delicate heel, you may simply want to bring another shoe option for the ceremony and change later into the cute pair at reception.

Since we’ll be celebrating in the Catskills in October, a jacket, shawl, pashmina, or other favorite layer is a great addition to your wedding look. You might not need it, but it’s good to have handy (we will also supply blankets, just in case).

PACK FOR: semi-formal wedding attire + grass-friendly shoes + a layer you love.

After Party + Bonfire

Think: cozy, cute, comfy and ready to keep the party going.

For those who are staying on site, anyone who wants to can trade the wedding clothes for something a little more comfortable as we keep celebrating after the reception.

Matching pajama sets, cute sweats, cozy pants, tanks with oversized sweaters, flannels, hoodies, whatever makes you feel good enough to keep dancing but comfortable enough to curl up by the fire and play games and keep the party going! This is very much a come-as-you-are, stay-as-long-as-you-want part of the night.

PACK FOR: a cozy change of clothes + your favorite warm layer.

One thing to remember…

Layers are your friend.

October in the Catskills can give us beautiful sunny afternoons and crisp fall evenings, so having a sweater, jacket, scarf, hat, or other easy layer nearby means you can adjust throughout the day and stay comfortable.

The inspiration above is simply here to make packing easier!

We cannot wait to celebrate with you!
